Trying to figure it out, And where do I see the results?

It created SQLH2Repository db and I scheduled it to run, and not sure if it ran, where do I look for information. The db is all empty, (suggesting that it did not run?)

Officially a release date has not been set, but we will eventually support SQL 2012. Based on the current workload we will probably begin beta trials of DIAB to support 2012 by September this year. A full production release will probably be released 1^st quarter next year. Individuals interested in becoming part of the beta test group should send an email to feedback@diabsqlsoftware.com.

SQLH2 has been one of my favorite tools for many years. The reports and performance collection has been an inexpensive way for my company to save a lot of money over the years in database managment. So it only made sense to implement SQLH2 as a part of DIAB, which is also very inexpensive. I am inviting all of you DBA's that like SQLH2, and want to save some money to give DIAB from www.dbainabox.com a try. DIAB offers a rich user interface for tracking the performance counters you have already created in SQLH2. If you have already implemented SQLH2 then this is an easy add on just tell DIAB in the configuration menu the name of the server and database for SQLH2 and it will do the rest. Please send me some feedback at feedback@diabsqlsoftware.com or follow up in this discussion.

I have the same problem - so I downloaded the source code & did some debugging :)

The problem is this line:

Locale =

short.Parse((string)a_mo["Locale"]);

H2V2.Collector.CollectorWmi line 494

The locale is a hex number - not a decimal (mine is 0c09).

So I modified it to use

Locale =

short.Parse((string)a_mo["Locale"], System.Globalization.NumberStyles.AllowHexSpecifier);

and it seems to work ok now.

So it will work in some regions but not others, depending on whether there are any a,b,c,d,e,f in the "number".

It seems that the *_qfe tables are not populated.

The related section in the log is not stating an error:

Hello,

in which unit the filegroup size is written to the c_filegroup table? I have a filegroup with a single data file only. the data file size is correctly measured to be 6.25 (MB), the filegroup has a fgsize of 102400 in an unknown unit.

Which unit? How is the size evaluated?

MSSQL 2008 R2 64bit english.

This looks like an unexpected data with the WMI. I would verify that the account doing the calls to WMI have full rights (i.e. member of the Local Administrator group) or allowed privleges setup in security to make sure you are not having a security issue. My opinion is that the version of SQL Server should not be an issue since the error you provide is a WMI call.

However, we are not running againts SQL 2008 R2 (Don't ask why, it will take a lot of medication to understand). We have been running in a testing mode for sometime. We are running SQL Server 2005 SP3 with CU9 and SQL Server 2008 SP1 without any problems.

We expect to deploy to production by the end of January.

I have been using SQLH2 since first release and now try to run it against SQL 2008 servers. I am running v.2.2.001 and have strange issue with SQL Servers 2008 R2 (64 bit). I downloaded debug version and an error is below. Note, that it collects SQL Server information, but not OS or Hardware information. The strange part of it that it runs perfect against identical server (OS, SQL Server) which is on VM server and gives me this error when I run the tool for the physical servers:

Hello!

Have anyone used SQLH2 over sql servers managed by hyper-v? So far i have been able to retrieve information from sql server (32 bit and 63 bit). But i have been unable to retrieve server information. My server information report display no data.
