Requested registry access is not allowed

We are getting these error messages on some servers (as reported by SQLH2 Collector Error Report) but most of the reports still works fine i.e. server/sql instance information reports but I must say that I have not verified these thoroughly.

Does anyone have the same issue and has it affected anything else?

Lastly, if you have fixed\workedaround this, please let me know also.

Cheers

Daylinda

I am also having the same issue. I have two servers; 1 a test server and the other production. they are the same. Collection works fine on production, but I get this error on the test server.

This must be a security issue. What rights your account has on the target server? (The account you use to run SQLH2).

The account running the collection is a domain account with SA privileges and Local Admin privileges on all SQL Servers.

Can you connect from regedit to that Registry remotely using that account?
